Great job on what I’ve seen of the game so far in screen shots.

I think the Wii and DS versions will be in safe hands, since you are developing a good game for Wii, and as you are not doing shovelware (Like other companies do) and developing especifically
for that systems, I think you will be doing a quality game.

    Yet I have many questions:

    1. ¿Do you develop Mushroom Men and Ghostbusters
alternating development on both games or there are four dev teams (2 on Wii and 2 on DS) that develop the games separately

    2. Many players complain that most multiplatform games on Wii are ported from the PS2 , so is important to hear the Wii owners’ opinions.
So ¿Why not giving the PS2 version to another company so you can fully focus on the Wii and DS versions?

    3. If possible ¿Can you give us a glimpse of how Ghostbusters will be on Wii?

Well guys, this are all the thinks I’d like to ask.

1.) Our Wii/PS2 development is done in-house with a dedicated team for each project. Zen Studios (see About page for more info) handles our DS builds.
2.)The Nintendo Wii is our primary version of the Ghostbusters game. We are pushing that hardware to its maximum potential. Where necessary, the PS2 might have some aspects reduced (i.e. only 2-player multiplayer instead of the Wii’s 4-player). But overall, Terminal Reality’s Infernal Engine allows us to maximize each hardware set easily.
3.) There might be an occasional peek at the game on these pages, but hi-res images will come from Sierra throughout their marketing campaign in the coming year.

Wow, a 3D ghostbusters game, but is it just based on the first movie or something?
    That sounds boring to me.
I was under the impression it was based on the 3rd movie script dan made but never became a movie.
I hope you guys see the light and change it, we already know how the original story went.
Why make that into another game?
I just do not get it.

Well here is hoping for the best.

  5. Jeff Mills said:

The game isn’t a remake of the first movie. It is an original story written by Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis that specifically carries the story on beyond the first two movies. Look at the Press page on the link at the top of the page to read more about it.

Any truth in the story that the Wii version will look more like the cartoon (”The Real Ghostbusters”) than their live-action counterparts?

from the one picture i saw, which i assume wii/ps2 share the same graphics, this game doesnt look like the movie or series. and while i am glad to hear that wii is the lead system, i am disappointed that the character looked so plasticy fake and bendable, as opposed to cell shaded to look at least somewhat like the original series.

i still look forward to seeing how the game develops, but its hard to trust titles that are made for every system alive. good luck i guess. earn my money please.

I cant wait untill the ghostbusters game comes out. But I heard on the wii it was going to look my cartoony. Thats a very stupid move. I’m sure everyone who buys the game would be very mad if you decide to make the game that way. All that being said, I already preordered the game.

    Wish list:
    - A video development diary for this game.
    - A free public company tour.

The only reason i asked the question i last asked is because i have seen screenshots on http://www.ghostbustersgame.com and it shows Stay Pufft Marshmellow Man, and that is in the first movie.

  14. Jenie said:

    Also, what the hell?
I am reading about the Wii version and it says cartoon style.

No way, all i have is a Wii and i will be damn if i am paying for a game thats cartoony.

You guys either go for as much a real look as you can(look at Resident Evil 4 Wii edition)or im not going to be buying any of them.

And i am not about to run out and buy a Xbox 360 or PS3 just to get the realistic looking version.

You guys are already messing up.

If they can do all those real looking graphics on the Wii with Resident Evil 4 you guys can do a more realistic Ghostbusters game on the Wii.

I knew this was too good to be true.

After all the bad titles that come from you guys in the past that i hated i knew you guys could not get this right.

You guys better go back to the drawing board on the Wii and PS2 versions, i will gaurantee if it is cartoony you will have a large fan base sending you angery letters.

  15. Jenie said:

Oh and if you are going to go with a cartoon look.
I mean, why not go with the look of the original animated series The Real Ghostbusters?

I am looking at the art style so for for the Wii version and it looks like crap, if you just have to go with cartoony why not The Real Ghostbusters look, or an anime style might work, which is what The Real Ghostbusters used anyhow?

I hope their really is a PC version coming out, i cant afford an Xbox 360 or PS3, and i dont like what has been done thus far for the Wii version.. it looks horrible.

  16. Robot Crayfish said:

Well, its early in development, The screenshots are NOT from the final product. They may change on the following months.

  17. Jenie said:

Sorry for being so angery and even a bit rude, but i feel that the cartoon look is a total let down, and no one is going to want to buy it, it would be a huge dissapointment to me if the game ended up looking like that.
I do not expect the same real look in the graphics on the Wii as on the 360 or PS3, but some realisim would be better then none.

I have been a fan of Ghostbusters ever since i was a small child, the large fan base for Ghostbuster are people just like me, some of us own Wiis and some of us own 360s, and then their are the few of us who own PS3s.

To see something that bad is a major dissapointment.

Keep in mind a lot of adults own Wiis as well, not just little kids, and maybe a little kid will like that style, in wish case i sugest a kid version on the DS and more mature on Wii.

Not all Wii owners are little kids who are into cute innocent art styles.

Okay.. sorry i went on a rant.
I am done, just keep in mind, and im sure of this.. that cartoon look….. not going to go over well with the fans that own a Wii, and i know better can be done.

    I have said my peace..

  18. Jenie said:

One more thing, is the character gender specific?
I ask cause.. if it has like a make a character editor thing.. i dont know.. just saying if it does.. you may want to include a female style.

Not all us Ghostheads are male lol.

  19. Chris said:

Cartoon vs “realistic” graphics shouldn’t affect the gameplay that much; it’s whatever the studio can pull off most sincerely. I’d be happy either way.

Please oh please oh PLEASE support 480p, 16×9, and Dolby Pro Logic II on the Wii!! Lots of Wii owners care about these features.

It matters to me, i have been a fan for a long time, and i know video games enough to know that graphics audio and gameplay all go hand in hand.

If one falls short of the others it ruins a games chances.

And so far the art i have seen looks really bad to me.

I can only hope for my local game store to carry the PC version.. that or walmart.

Im just saying go with a more familure look, so far i dont know who the hell that is in the magazines i have looked at that show some of the graphics on the Wii.

And the pack he is wareing looks so generic.

But it matters a lot to me and im sure it does to a lot of other people out there as well.

That look they have so far is… yuck.

I for one hope it does change in the months to come.

It is not supposed to be out until next halloween so they have plenty of time to get the game looking better then what i see so far.

Well if they cant do better with the graphics i hope audio is good, and i hope it still has voice overs from all the actors from the movie just like the other versions.

It just makes me mad that it feels like us Wii owner might get the short end of the stick… so to speak.
