Lead Artist Will Kier discusses what is needed to transform our prototype Spore Power mechanism into a fully fleshed-out and gorgeous game device. The programmers, designers and artists responsible for producing this important aspect of Mushroom Men provide their unique points of view. Having proved the concepts of Spore Powers in our vertical slice levels, it’s time to expand their use throughout the entire game.

I’ve always enjoyed Destructoid’s coverage of our games.
GameTrailers has posted several new videos from EIEIO showing Lead Programmer Kain Shin play the game as Lead Designer Ryan Mattson narrates.
GamesRadar just posted a comprehensive write-up of the demo of Mushroom Men: Rise of the Fungi that they saw at EIEIO 08.
IGN posted articles on both the DS and Wii versions of Mushroom Men.
An interesting detail about this article at GayGamer.net is that it was linked to on a PS3 blog site (PS3 Game Players), and we’re not even shipping on the PS3!
Wii Fanboy wrote up a nice article, as well.

Throughout the entire day at EIEIO, the press came through in groups of about ten every hour. Everyone was very attentive and enthused as they watched the DS and Wii demos of Mushroom Men.

Victor Lucas interviews designer Ryan Mattson for Electric Playground., originally uploaded by Red Fly Studio.With Gamecock’s EIEIO event in Austin tomorrow, several members of the gaming media are in town. Victor Lucas, host of Electric Playground, visited our studio to talk abot Mushroom Men.
As Ryan described more details about Mushroom Men for the Wii and DS, Victor’s enthusiasm for the game grew.
