Character design and concept art are two areas in which Mushroom Men: The Spore Wars excels, and the free gifts for those who preorder the game use both extensively.
Those who reserve a copy at Gamestop will be able to claim the “life-size” statuette, as well as a pack of eleven Mushroom Men trading cards (a twelfth comes with the game itself) featuring the title’s diverse range of enemies.
A further eleven cards will be offered to those who preorder Mushroom Men: Rise of the Fungi on the DS, as well as a superb Les Claypool/Mushroom Men poster.
This is not only my absolutely most anticipated game of the year but simply one of my most anticipated games ever, at that. The platforming genre has struggled a lot lately. Some of the most beloved 3D platformer franchises have been altered to fit the “changing times”. Spyro has become a Devil May Cry style brawler and Rayman is a party game. With the platformer genre being my favorite, this game has got me really, really excited! Thank you for making a quality platforner and putting it on the oft-overlooked Wii system. It’s not just for casuals!
I am so excited about Mushroom Men, I’m pre-ordering to get all the cool goodies. I’ve never pre-ordered a game before, but this stuff is too good to pass up!
And I didn’t hear about the writing contest until today. I wish I had heard of it sooner. I’m definitely entering, though!

Will these goodies also be available for Europeans (Holland to be specific)? I mean, there’s no Gamestop in my country yet I’m certainly gonna buy both Mushroom Men games at launch, and those goodies look interesting.
