We are not an Irish Web Design studio. That’s Red Fly Studios.
 |
Located in downtown Austin, Texas, Red Fly Studio is a young studio founded by ten-year veterans of the gaming industry with experience on titles such as Star Wars Galaxies, BloodRayne, Nocturne, FIFA Football 2005, Anachronox, SSX3 and Deus Ex. |
| To handle all of our DS builds, we utilize Zen Studios out of Budapest, Hungary. Their technology pushes the Nintendo DS hardware to its limits and allows us to focus our efforts on the Wii and PS2 builds, secure in the knowledge that the handheld version of our game will be of the highest possible quality. |

We’ve known the audio production team Gl33k for years through their association with Okratron5000, and we knew that they had the vision and skills to make the auditory aspects of Mushroom Men merge and interplay with the remarkable visuals. In addition to the games we’ve collaborated on in the past (Roadkill, Blowout, Thief 3, Deus Ex 2) Gl33k has handled voice and sound design for many very popular titles including: Tony Hawk Project 8, Tony Hawk Proving Grounds, Guitar Hero 3, Metroid Prime 2 and 3, Stuntman Ignition, Kingdom Under Fire, Full Metal Alchemist, Dragon Ball Z and Sonic Rivals 2. We were very fortunate that the boys from Gl33k were interested in moving to Austin and setting up shop next to our studio, effectively becoming our in-house audio team. |
Hey there,
I dont know if you saw my last reply. Anyways, I recently read about you guys in the new GameInformer. You guys are making a game about a Mushroom Man or something right?
Anyways, would love to get more info on the game and the studio. My email is justin.pinter@psu.com
Matt-phew!
We won’t be deleting any of your very important posts!
Our web site is being constructed as we speak but our game site is up and running…

Justin – yes – we have an article coming out, or maybe it is already out in GameInformer. Maybe I should pay closer attention….
Yeah its in GameInformer…I read about the game and it sounds really cool. When do you guys think you will be able to talk about the game more?
What up, Red Fly! Kudos on the new studio setup. I recall Jeff Mills (3Po) working at 7th Level, Angry Dan Borth from 7th and ION, and a few other peeps. Is the mighty BARON there?

I really want to know about the UK release date for MM The Spore Wars.
Will it come here to Europe this month or will it come next year?
Hopefully Mushroom Men will sell a lot of copies, you guys put a lot of heart into the game and for that you deserve plenty of credit.
Hi Redfly, my name is charles, and from my understanding Redfly has many former 7th level members. Has there ever been any talk of bringing back G-nome? As far as games I grew up with G-nome remains a classic. Thanks guys and gals.
best regards
Charles
The style of writing is very familiar . Have you written guest posts for other blogs?
howdy yall. yall had a Studio In lewisville Texas not too long ago. Is it still there? heh anyways the real question is, If someone had a AWSOME idea for a game and had some stuff wrote down and wanted to send it to yall for a look over….how would someone go about doing that?
@Six-Pack – The only other blog stuff I’ve written has been the Ghostbusters Developers Diaries for IGN ( http://blogs.ign.com/Atari_Ghostbusters/ ).
@Johnny – Don’t let this burst your bubble. Most studios/publishers don’t look at unsolicited game ideas. If you want to make a game, I’ll give you the same advice I received from Atari when I was eight years old and sent them my own design documents: Learn how to program or create digital art. If you feel passion for videogames, you should make them! Study programming and math, especially 3-D math ( http://www.amazon.com/Primer-Graphics-Development-Wordware-Library/dp/1556229119/ref=ntt_at_ep_dpi_1 ) and/or pick up some free 3-D modeling software or level editors for existing engines so you can build your own worlds. That’s how most of us got here.
